When you think of Zac Efron, odds are you still picture him as teen heartthrob Troy Bolton from his Disney Channel debut in High School Musical nearly 10 years ago. The movie rose to great, albeit unexpected success, and Disney went on to produce a record-breaking sequel with 17.5 million viewers as well as a box-office hit of the series beyond that.

Since his East High days, you have probably seen Efron play a much broader spectrum of roles in movies like Charlie St. Cloud, Hairspray, The Lucky One and The Paperboy. Most recently, Efron starred with Seth Rogen in the hit comedy film Neighbors, following the story of a couple that moves in next to a frat house.

Next week Efron will return to his musical roots in We Are Your Friends, following the story of Cole (Efron), a 23-year-old DJ struggling in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene with dreams of becoming a major record producer. His love interest Sophie is played by Emily Ratajkowski, most recently seen on the big screen as Andie in Gone Girl.

We Are Your Friends hits theaters July 28th. Here if the offical trailer for the film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZzAeYWXFpk
