Sometime in the hours of night on the Oct. 31, Halloween packed up its things and fled; no note, and in its place, November. Browning leaves, grey days, and the looming concept of Christmas. Here’s a list for that weird in between period — autumn is still here but winter waits in the wings, patiently.

“The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”

A new reincarnation of our favorite blonde, teen witch comes in the form of Kiernan Shipka — warm, eager, and strong — on Netflix’s latest original. Sabrina is faced with an ultimatum, one her incarnations before weren’t: to choose between her identity as a mortal or a witch on her 16th birthday. In the same universe as the similarly Archie comics-based “Riverdale”, “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” is the perfect gothic teen drama for your post-Halloween depression.

“Suspiria”

The remake to 1977 Italian supernatural horror film, a swirl of vibrant colors and blood, is in theaters now. Dakota Johnson (“Fifty Shades of Grey”), a newcomer at an austere dance company in post-WWII Berlin, begins to suspect the older women in charge of something sinister. Luca Guadagnino, director of “Call Me By Your Name”, has returned with “Suspiria”, which has been shredded by critics; I just can’t resist the temptation of Anastasia Steele as a redhead and a Cold War dance company coven led by Tilda Swinton.

“Party For One” — Carly Rae Jepsen

Jepsen, infamously known for her song, “Call Me Maybe”, has released her newest single, “Party For One”. The perfect post-breakup anthem, Jepsen croons in her babydoll voice (regardless of the fact that she’s 32 — I know, right???) about self-love and being “back on my beat.” With what could easily be a song about masturbation as well (“I’ll be the one if you don’t care about me, makin’ love to myself”), Jepsen’s reputation of perfect pop with 80s synth influences remains intact, now with an edge.

“Life-Size 2” Teaser

This week, a first look at the sequel to 2000 Lindsay Lohan family comedy “Life-Size” has been released. Tyra Banks reprises her role as Eve, a Barbie doll come to life (sans Lohan) whose new mission is to guide a 25-year-old CEO named Grace through a quarter life crisis. Those brought up in the early 2000s are undoubtedly familiar with the original and Banks’ tagline, “It’s me, Eve! And I’m your special friend!” Tune in on Dec. 2 on Freeform to see Eve, 18 years later.

“The Royal Tenenbaums” at Coolidge Corner Theatre

As part of its Rewind series, Coolidge Corner Theatre is showing “The Royal Tenenbaums” on Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. A 2001 comedy-drama from director Wes Anderson (“The Grand Budapest Hotel”, “Isle of Dogs”), “Tenenbaums” tells the story of a dysfunctional family, in quirky Andersonian fashion. Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Stiller, and Luke Wilson play gifted siblings, grown into disappointed adults under an absent, eccentric father.
