Troye Sivan at the Wang Theater

If you’re into chill pop and have a little cash to spare, look no further than the Boston leg of Troye Sivan’s “Bloom” tour with opening act Kim Petras. The concert is Friday, Oct. 12 at the Boch Center Wang Theater — tickets are still available, so get them before they run out.

2018 Boston Book Festival

Love literature, books, and all things reading? More importantly, do you love free events? Check out the 10th annual Boston Book Festival in Copley Square on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. It features all kinds of events, from writing workshops to author talks. Delta Zeta’s Third Annual Cornhole Classic

Saturday, Oct. 13, grab a few friends and make a team and participate in NU Delta Zeta’s cornhole competition to benefit the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Teams consist of two people and cost $10, or $5 per individual. Make your way to the Science Quad from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. and get a free barbecue lunch with your participation. NU Barkada Barrio(kada) Fiesta

As October is Filipino American History Month, NU Barkada (Northeastern’s Filipino club) is hosting a barrio festival on Sunday, Oct. 14 to celebrate. A barrio festival is a Filipino neighborhood festival featuring food, games, dancing, and more. Notable events at Barrio(kada) Fiesta include a lip sync battle, a Filipino culture trivia contest, and more. Jack O’Lantern Journey at Franklin Park Zoo

If you love spooky season, you’ll love Jack O’Lantern Journey. Make your way through a winding path of spectacular pumpkin art to really get into the Halloween mood. The event is going on until Nov. 5 so head over whenever is convenient. Ticket prices range from $16 to $28 depending on what time you go — the later you go, the cheaper they are; you can enter the journey between 8:15 and 9:30 p.m. For more information and to buy tickets, check out the website.
