As the last two weeks of the semester approach and you mentally check out despite the fact that you still have three papers, four presentations, and maybe a couple of projects due (not to mention what feels like 30 exams to study for) get off of campus and give yourself a much needed break this weekend.
Light Up Seaport
Missed the Boston Common and Faneuil Hall tree lightings? Not to worry — you can still catch the Seaport tree lighting, along with live music and giveaways Friday, Nov. 30 from 6-8 p.m. RSVP here before the event.
The Incredible Art Gallery featuring Christopher Clark
Children-at-heart, brace yourselves for an event that will surely knock your fantasy-loving socks off. Friday, Nov. 30 from 6-10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2 from noon to 7 p.m., visit nationally recognized artist Christopher Clark’s art gallery of magic, featuring “Harry Potter”, “Alice in Wonderland”, “Star Wars”, “Lord of the Rings”, “Game of Thrones”, and Marvel. The event is free — you’ll even get a free 9”x11” print if you attend. The Incredible Art Gallery asks that you RSVP to the Facebook event before going. For more information, click here.
“Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical” at the Wang Theatre
Get into the holiday spirit with one of the most beloved Christmas stories of all time, live. The show plays Wednesday through Sunday at various times until Dec. 9 and tickets start at $25. What better way to close out the semester than by watching the Grinch (or as I like to call him, “finals week personified”) learn the true meaning of Christmas? SoWa Winter Festival
If you’ve ever been to the SoWa open market, get ready for the North Pole version of that — if you’re not going for the food and crafts, at least go for the ‘gram. Featuring unique cocktails, food, art, and more, the festival runs all weekend in the SoWa open market area (plus next weekend as well). Friday, Nov. 30 from 5-9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 2 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., get festive and maybe even get started on gift shopping. Check out the website for more information and a full list of vendors.
